Young Scholars Circle     

This is somehow similar to a drama club where students assume roles and read expressively and fluently from the script rather than memorizing them. Readers Theatre is a well-known, proven, research-based strategy to increase fluency. It engages and makes learning fun for students while they learn and enhance their reading skills. At the end of the program, students will have an informal culminating activity for the parents to watch.  This is ideal as an after school activity, summer camp  or just for fun.

This is a combination of reading and writing readers theatre scripts.  Upper elementary kids love this! They will perform their favorite roles and modify their characters by writing and readers theatre scripts from novels, short stories and poems that they've read.
