Reading & Writing

These are research-based strategies that motivate young children to read and write, build their reading stamina and enhance fluency.  To serve you better, we require a comprehensive assessment of your child's reading and writing skills.  Please schedule an appointment . We charge $75 for a complete assessment. After the assessment, we will discuss your child's areas of strengths and needs. The price for these courses include all the materials and supplies.

  • Beginning Reading & Writing Program (PreK - 1st grade)

    This program includes concepts of prints, phonemic awareness, word work, vocabulary instruction, fluency. These are the components of balanced literacy instruction for beginning readers and writers.  You will be amazed at what your child can do.

  • Reading & Writing Workshop (Middle- High School)

    This is a very individualized instruction. We design the curriculum based on the results of your children's assessments, focusing on the areas of needs.  Students are  grouped based on their instructional needs or abilities. Fee: $280/mo, 8 hrs.

  • Assessment Fee

    Assessments vary based on your child's developmental levels. It may take 45 minutes minutes to an hour.  After paying the assessment fee, please schedule an appointment and choose the best date and time that works for you. We could also arrange for a specific location near you.

Hi Teach!

Congratulations on your kids achievements!  Now I am realizing the benefits of enrolling Garrett in Young Scholars.   Many are awed with his reading skills.  He can speak English so well.  Not only that, the comprehension....I am amazed as to how he processes information!  Somehow he has built this technique in making sure he has answered all questions in the test.  So as a result....he's always in the Honor Roll....and true enough...Remember how we identified his intelligences?  You told me his learning style is logical-mathematical?  Well, he's really good in Math so more often than not...we don't review Math anymore for the quarterly tests and he manages to perfect his tests!

Well, that's about it first....school is almost over now with 3 days to go just for the exams.


Oh...by the way....I attached a picture so you'll see how big he is now!
